Step 1: Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Cook macaroni 1 minute less than package instructions (al dente).
Drain and set aside.

Step 5: Combine Pasta & Sauce

Add cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce.
Stir until every piece is coated in creamy goodness.

Step 6: Assemble

Pour mac and cheese into a greased baking dish.
Top with extra cheese.
Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle on top (optional).

Step 7: Bake

Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and golden.

Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
